WP Premium Theme Guide

  1. Upload WP Premium theme under wp-content/themes directory and then Activate the theme from your wordpress Admin >Themes page
  2. By default, it will look like this. Don’t panic :)
  3. Go to wp-admin > Appearance > WP Premium Theme Options page and take a thorough look at all the flexible options available to you. Do the settings as per your wish and then save them.
  4. Home Page Settings

    • Logo Setting – Go to wp-admin -> Appearance -> WP Premium theme Options -> General Settings -> Header Your Logo Image Set
    • Header Top Section Your Feedburner ID & URL – Go to wp-admin -> Appearance -> WP Premium theme Options -> General Settings -> Syndication / Feed URL, Syndication / Feed ID
    • Header Top Navigation Settings – Go to wp-admin -> Appearance -> WP Premium theme Options -> Navigation Settings -> Exclude Pages from Header Menu
    • Main & Inner Page post content expert & full content display : Go to wp-admin -> Appearance -> WP Premium theme Options -> Blog Section Content Settings – Instead of default Post excerpts display Full Post Content in Blog Section
    • Home page Sidebar Setting – Go to wp-admin -> Appearance -> Widgets – > Sidebar
      (a) About Me – PT -> About Me
      (b) Search, Archives & Categories Tab Widget – PT -> 3 in 1
      (c) 4 Advertise – PT -> Four Advertise
      (d) Latest Posts – PT -> Latest Posts
      (e) Twitter Updates – PT -> Twitter
      (f) Popular Posts – PT -> Popular Posts
      (g) Filckr – PT -> Filckr Photos
    • Sub Sidebar Left – Go to wp-admin -> Appearance -> Widgets – > Sub Sidebar Left
      You can set any widget in “sub sidebar left” box, drag & drop as you wish
    • Sub Sidebar Right – Go to wp-admin -> Appearance -> Widgets – > Sub Sidebar Right
      You can set any widget in “sub sidebar left”, box drag & drop as you wish
    • Footer Left side Navigation Settings – Go to wp-admin -> Appearance -> WP Premium theme Options -> Navigation Settings -> Enter a comma-separated list of the page ID’s that you’d like to display in footer (on the right). (ie. 1,2,3,4)
  5. Thats it. Your blog Detail Page look like this now

Built-in e-commerce features

We’ve explained e-commerce themes’ standard features in detail in a blog post. The features are balanced as we didn’t stuff every e-commerce features out there. Including only those that are must-haves for a well functional e-commerce WP Store. Here’s a short summary..

      Maybe you only want to showcase your items and don’t want to sell it online? Simply choose this mode and you will have “send inquiry” button instead of buy now / add to cart. Visitors thus, can send an inquiry on the products they like.

  • Manage Products

    Add / Edit / Delete products are as easy as you create a wordpress blog post. You have a custom panel where-in you can edit the product description, different parameters, upload product images etc. real easy.

  • Order Management

    Depending upon the settings from your admin panel, you can manage the order – approve, process or cancel / reject an order.

  • Shipping Options

    As an admin, you can choose Free, Flat rate; Weight or Price based shipping option for your WP Store. What’s more you can even set free shipping for particular items in case you’ve set other option for your WP Store.

  • Multiple Payment Gateways

    You have PayPal, Authorize.net, Google Checkout, WorldPay, bank transfer and Cash on Delivery as payment gateway options. Choose the gateway you prefer.

  • Manage Tax

    You may specify overall tax percentage that applies to all your products and, you may choose to leave individual products tax free

  • Grid view / List view

    Whenever you are browsing the product collection, you have an option to see the products in list view or grid view. It’s built-in by default.

They simply provide their email address and we create the logins for them. If admin wants, they can choose to send/not send their logins to them.

  • User registration

    Users may register on your site or, they will be taken to registration page on the checkout procedure. They will have their own user area where they can keep track of their order, manage profile and download purchased digital products.

  • Bulk Upload ( csv )

    Using another shopping cart solution for your WP Store and want to switch to our WP Store themes? No worries. You can export your data from there in .csv files and import it in your wordpress installation when you use our WP Store themes. (sample .csv file included with the theme)

  • Coupon codes

    Admin can generate coupon codes for occasional sales promotion.

  • Product Images

    As an admin, you may choose to activate affiliate program where your customers/others can signup as an affiliate partner and start promoting your products. Stock management & other new features available in our e-commerce themes

Since original launch of first e-commerce theme – Store on this site, you have received occasional improvements in our themes powered with templatic e-commerce platform. The updates included an affiliate module, usability improvement, guest checkout and so on.

Here’s two shiny new features available absolutely free in our e-commerce themes now.

Custom product links

If you want to manage a store but don’t have your own products, that’s perfectly all right. With this new feature, you can mention a custom link (could be anything. A link to amazon, an affiliate link or a simple link that takes the user to different site).

When you specify a custom link, the theme overrides all your other settings and replaces “Add to Cart” with “Buy Now” button and clicking this buttons takes the user to the new link that you specified.

This feature also comes handy when you want to sell your own products but once in a while, also want to show products of other stores on your site with affiliate link.

Stock / Inventory management module

Many of you, our existing users requested an inventory module that allows admin to manage stock of the products being sold on the store. This is not a feature that can be built overnight but templatic team gathered feedbacks from the forums, studied around and built a basic inventory / stock management module which is now integrated in all the e-commerce themes on this site. You may download the updated version of the theme absolutely free from the member area.

Here’s a sneak preview to what this module does.

When you are Adding a product, you now have more options at the end of page which will let you manage stock for this particular product. You may manage overall stock plus, also you can manage stock for sizes and color variation of your product. You may set low stock email notification if you want to.

A new menu/page is now available in your “Shopping Cart” panel that shows all your stock management values. Check the screenshot for moer details.

This is how the stock will be shown on your store front. Your product stock maybe 200 pieces but if the green color is out of stock, when the user selects “Green” option, the “Add to Cart” will disappear and “Out of stock” notification will be displayed. Awesome, Isn’t it?

Upcoming e-commerce themes

March had been a busy month at templatic headquarters. Last month, we brought you the best ever Real Estate theme. Along with that, our team had been working on improving the overall customer experience, better support and some new tools for existing customers that we will announce later this month.

Right now, is the time to see some teaser preview to upcoming e-commerce themes at templatic. Each of these designs are strategically structured to cater different business areas.

Store Front is one of our favorite design both the look and page structure wise. We are sure that you’ll love it.

Then comes e-Commerce theme. This is a plain, clean theme with minimal design. Ideal for any business, we are sure the small shop owners will love this.
