Support is extremely important to us here at Templatic. So important in fact that almost 50% of all of us at Templatic work on helping you get the most out of the purchased product. With that in mind, have you ever wondered exactly how is theme support provided? If yes, this blog post is for you.
In the next few paragraphs I’ll outline the tools and techniques I myself and most of us at Templatic use to help you guys. Hopefully some of tips shared here will help you while troubleshooting issues in the future.
My approach (to a problem not reported before)
Checking the theme and WordPress version – when you encounter a problem and notice that the WordPress/theme version you’re using isn’t exactly new, update. Even if it doesn’t Read More »
Specialist v1 was a relatively simple WordPress business theme known for it’s serious and professional design. Well, the new version looks pretty much the same but comes with A LOT more capabilities. The most requested one was making the theme responsive. I’m happy to confirm that Specialist v2 is completely mobile-friendly! The responsiveness is just the beginning; Specialist v2 is based on the second generation of Supreme – our core framework and the muscle behind recent themes such as OnePager or 5Star.
Essentially, Page Links To is a plugin that lets you link pages and posts to an external URL instead of opening the actual page or post. Imagine a fresh WordPress install where on the homepage “Hello World” post isn’t linked to the actual post but to an outside source such as wordpress.org. Best thing about Page Links To is the fact it works with custom post types which are pretty common in Templatic themes. Places, Events, Properties are just some of the post types you’ll find in our themes.
To get started with the plugin head over to Plugins -> Add New and search for Page Links To. Once installed, a new section will appear at the bottom of your Add Post / Add Page back-end pages. That is the place where you overwrite the original URL.
WordPress 3.6 “Oscar”, the latest major release is now available for download. New features include a revamped auto-save system and a whole new theme – Twenty Thirteen. WordPress guys have created a short and quirky video about these improvements… we highly recommend watching it.
This July has been crazy! With all that’s happened we figured a post like this would be appropriate. Due to the sheer amount of announcements we’re guessing you missed at least one or two. When it comes to the actual announcements: New plugins, new Templatic themes, new…actually, just continue reading.

Our expansion into the world of plugins experienced a giant boost this month with the release of 10 payment gateway add-ons for Tevolution and 3 additional plugins that were previously only available in theme bundles: Templatic Booking, Appointment add-on and Templatic Digital Downloads.
This plugin is used to power booking Templatic themes such as Vacation Rental or 5 Star. It comes with a totally customizable booking form, seasonal prices, availability calendar and tons of other stuff. Know more about this awesome WordPress booking plugin.
The Appointment add-on is a great solution for wellness centers, spa salons, lawyer offices etc. At the moment this plugin works great with two Templatic themes; Restaurante and Service Biz. Don’t miss to have a look at the features tour of WordPress Appointment plugin.
One of the common suggestions in the New Year Templatic survey was a one page WordPress theme. For all of you that suggested it, thank you and, the wait time is over! OnePager is our take on the niche and we hope you guys will like it as much as we do.
Theme compatibility with our Tevolution plugin has been steadily growing since its release 8 months ago. However, this post isn’t about the themes, it’s about Tevolution add-ons we’re introducing today. These add-ons (plugins) will enable various payment gateways in Tevolution. The gateways can be used with all money-making features facilitated by Tevolution. This includes content submission (Nightlife, Automotive), digital product sales (Publisher), room booking (Vacation Rental, 5 Star) and appointment making (Service Biz).
Today we are proud to announce a new theme for restaurants – Restaurante. Fancy by both name and design, this theme is all about style and functionality. The homepage is simple and unobtrusive yet provides just enough information to engage the visitor and get him/her to make a reservation. The booking form of this powerful restaurant WordPress theme can also be placed on the homepage, maximizing your conversion chances. Restaurante is powered by two plugins, Tevolution, our main app-plugin and the Appointment add-on. Both plugins are provided for free with each Restaurante purchase.
Today is an important day for us (and all that like appointment themes) since we’re releasing two important new products. The Appointy theme and the star of this blog post, Appointment add-on for Tevolution an appointments manager plugin.
The three hotel booking themes released not so long ago showed us that you guys want the booking functionality in themes. However, those themes were only suited for hotels, not for service-based businesses. Filling that gap is Service Biz, our latest appointment booking theme that can double as a business/portfolio site and even as a web store, but more on that in the paragraphs below.
