“Hello Templatic readers, I’m James Bagart, an attorney by profession. I started my practice a year ago and overtime I felt the need to have an online presence. I wanted to have my own website where potential clients could reach me from anywhere, anytime. Also, I wanted some online booking functionality embedded into it where my clients can book appointment requests and I could approve and reject them based on my availability to ease tasks for both of us. I am glad I stumbled upon this WordPress theme called ‘Appointment’ from Templatic. Based on what I learnt about it, followed by my experience with the theme’s demo, I was excited to try the Appointment theme on their test site.
When I first saw the homepage with the ‘book appointment’ form, I was literally awe-struck. That was exactly what I wanted. A custom-editable site with an appointment form where I could manage approve, reject and manage appointment requests from clients. My curiosity increased and I logged-in to the admin panel on my test site to check the back-end possibilities. To ease the setup, there is an auto-install option which populates sample data to start with, which is quite cool. I went on to edit the booking form as per my requirements and what’s nice about it is that, I could add/edit/delete any number of fields without any limitation whatsoever. However, I thought it’d be wise to keep the fields to a minimum in order not to overwhelm my site visitors. It hardly took me an hour to setup my site.
There’s a cool ‘My work’ section where I can list my previous works, a ‘Services’ section to list my services and a blog. Did I mention that the home page is entirely widgetized? There are all sorts widgets for setting up my location on a Google Map, closing hours, availability, etc. There is also an option where I can add an appointment manually for a client who sent his request via some other offline medium. Payments can be accepted via PayPal. Must say, Templatic has developed this theme very thoughtfully, keeping in mind the requirements of vast majority of professionals. I am definitely going to buy this theme.”
