And now it’s time to announce upgrade of iPhone App theme. It has been on the market for a while, 3 years to be exact. When it was released after lots of brainstorming, it was first and best of it’s kind, later replicated by many others. Till now it helped many in selling their iPhone apps.
Over time, smart phone apps has evolved and this new version caters to latest demand of this market. The updated version (iPhone App 2) will offer even more flexibility when it comes to selling your apps.

What's new in iPhone App 2?
- Mobile friendly (responsive) design that looks great in any device.
- iPhone, Android and BlackBerry sliders. Which means you can showcase not only iPhone, but other mobile application as well.
- Better coded and powered by our supreme framework. Which includes numerous other features such as page templates, mega menu, additional widgets and so on..
- Full WordPress SEO and bbPress plugin compatibility
- Widgetized homepage for easy content manipulation
- WooCommerce compatibility for those that do not sell their apps on App/Play Store
Shortcodes
iPhone App 2 comes with an extensive selection of shortcodes created using Twitter Bootstrap. Along with standard shortcodes such as alert boxes or icon lists you can also add tabs, galleries, tooltips, popovers and more. A full list of shortcodes is available on the iPhone App 2 demo site
Automatic Updates
Just as eBook v2 released a few days ago, this theme also supports automatic updates! With iPhone App 2 you won’t have to worry about updating the theme, notifications about new updates will come directly to your WordPress dashboard. What’s more, you’ll be able to perform the update right there inside the dashboard. Be careful though…updating will undo all your customization so be sure to back everything up first.

Hope you’ll love this upgrade. Wishing you greatest success selling your mobile app :)
WordPress Theme of this kind are still most in demand. I searched on the internet but the competition is almost non-existent. This urgently needs a face lifting.
Great work guys! It looks beautiful on my iPad mini. Keep up the good work and quality of your themes!
Replacing a sites current theme folder, breaks it, if updating a site with an old version of this theme.
(how is an upgrade done please?)
Hi Mark
The best way to approach this would be to activate the stock Twenty Twelve theme and upload the new folder(s) to the server. Once they are uploaded simply activate the new theme. Since the new version is so different (totally new codebase) expect to lose all your theme settings.
Thank you for the advice on upgading
We will leave it to when we have more time.
Glad future updates will not be so difficult/time consuming
Keep in mind that updating will be carefree only if you haven’t customized anything. If the theme is customized you’ll still have to do it manually since updating automatically will make you lose all the changes.
Please confirm you mean coding changes, done by hand, rather than losing all theme settings
(i.e. the theme reverts to default!)
Yes, I mean coding changes (customizations). Theme settings are stored in the database – they are safe when updating.
Thank you
How do I upload the new file? Where is it?
The theme is located in member area.
PS: I replied to the email you sent us.
We are holding back on using themes until they can be maintained/patched easier via
- the fantastic Automatic Updates &
- Options to customise the footer etc. (so not damaged by upgrades)
Can we have your order & very approximate paln to upgrade current themes,
so we can plan our efforts better?
All new themes come with an option to customize the footer from the back-end. Older themes will have to wait for that feature I’m afraid. Good news is that Automatic Updates will start rolling out to existing themes very soon. We’ll be including that functionality in next versions of themes (along with standard fixes). For instance, GeoPlaces version 4.5.2 (current one is 4.5.1) will most likely come with Automatic Updates.
Excellent, thanks for the update.
We will use GeoPlaces the moment it is ready
Future updates would be appreciated
(i.e. an idea of when older themes are getting Automatic Updates)
