Wow – this theme is truly one of the sharpest I’ve seen – real estate or otherwise. I do have one question for you. I’m interested in this theme but not necessarily wanting to open it up to outside submissions. Would it be possible to disable the submission feature – but still allow accounts so that consumers could log in and utilize the “My Favorite Properties” tab.

Is there the option to change currency in the theme options or will this need to be changed withing the coding itself?
Yep, from Real Estate > general settings, you may change currency. No coding required
Another quick question.
Can this theme be used for just one agent via the backend of the theme rather than having a user register and login. So, this would be a one-agent site with the top right option to add property and sign in not being there.
From General Settings, you may disable user registration. Adding property from the backend is possible but you will have to add the details via custom fields.

Has SSL support been added to the theme so payments can be processed securely?
payments are handled by your payment gateway such as paypal, 2checkout, authorize.net etc. And those gateways are fully secured. We (our theme) does not store any financial data provided by the clients.
With Authorize.net, isn’t the payment information collected on the wordpress site and then sent to Authorize.net? Just like the ecommerce themes?
If so, that form that collects that payment information also needs to support collecting the information over SSL (https) before it sends the data to authorize.net for processing.
nope. The data collected on site are email address, shipping info etc. so that the admin can use them from wp-admin.
Credit card information is taken by authorize.net directly. ( also if im not wrong, storing credit card info on your site is illegal)

This is a big security issue. I hope it’s something that you can fix soon in this theme and your ecommerce themes that are otherwise super awesome :)
It seems like it would just be a matter of checking which payment option the admin selected in the theme options. Then, if the admin selected Authorize.net (or any other processor where the credit card form is on site), then it would change the URL in the address bar for the the checkout pages (or in the case of the realestate them, the ?page=preview page) to HTTPS://example.com/?page=preview instead of HTTP
It would be up to the admin to setup their own SSL certificate and install it on their webhost.
Does that help explain it any?
By the way, I’m not referencing “storing” credit card information.
I’m talking about when you *collect* or *ask for* credit card information on the site. That form needs to be hosted on a SSL encryped page (https:// instead of http://)

Do you plan to release a new Classifieds theme, that will be more flexible than yours recent theme?

We do not have any ETA on classifieds update but yep, we will upgrade it. Once again, classipress is a different product and we’d rather build this theme on our own unique way. Just like we did with realestate theme
can i customize the fields to reflect different property types? i.e. offices or restaurants?
Exactly which field do you need to change? The Location, Beds, Bathrooms etc. are not based on categories. instead, values are taken from a textarea that you can customize
I would be removing all residential application and using it for businesses and office space, so bedrooms/bathrooms wouldn’t be needed but I would need to add things like # of offices, or property type (i.e. restaurant, industrial, medical), or cost per square foot. Can I do that easily or would I need to go deep into the code? I see you say ‘text area that I customize”–is that in the admin panel or in one of the .php files?

We have a question about the “submit area”.
The user choose between sale or rent his property.
But… is it posiblle that submit for sale and for rent the same property at the one only post??

the property is also shown as listing on the homepage and in search results. There, you need to show either one of them and not both.
What we do suggest is, to show your property as sale and also highlight the property in the description that you write saying “also available for rent”.

anyone else having problems with the slider, for some reason the slider isnt working its just stuck on 1 image. and the Auto animate the featured property slider in the homepage is checked… is there a way to fix this…
