To bridge the gap between Templatic staff and you guys Bhavesh decided to hire a community manager – me. My name is Vedran Fak, I am 23 years old and come from Croatia, a small European country. I have been using WordPress for around three years and have created a number of sites during that time. I have experience in programming (various languages), SQL and of course HTML/CSS. I am an administrator on a relatively small gaming site for a couple of years now so I am familiar with basics of community management; this knowledge will undoubtedly come in handy here at Templatic. Yes, Geo Places had it’s fair share of problems, therefore all the topics, but my experience with the theme has been good. Most of the bugs have been taken care of. New topics mostly get created by people that need customization and features that don’t come with the theme. We wish we could help all of them, but adding features and big customization jobs just can’t be done on a grand scale.

Believe it or not, Personally, I have always valued you as a honest critic and a well wisher. I agree with your sarcasm but here’s my reply.
1) GeoPlaces theme has received upgrades for 3 times. Version 3 is active and who knows, we might come up with something interesting once again with version 4.
2) As you know, its not just a blogging theme and lots of custom coding is added into the theme. Yep, bugs has been found and we have resolved them. At the moment when i am writing this, there is no such issue / bugs pending which we have not resolved. Please upgrade the theme and let us know if you still have complaints.

Welcome – I’m sure they all love and appreciate you at Templatic. Last night I bought my first theme from the company and overall it’s fantastic, but there’s apparently a little “bug” in the Article Directory theme as it will NOT show up my Blog anywhere and also gives me a “404″ when I manually search for the blog post.
I want to add it to my header at the top so people who visit the article directory can also choose to visit the blog but so far, I’m coming up with ZERO. Not fun for this grandmother.

404 error must not appear though. If you can give us more info in our helpdesk, we’d love to help you on this.

Certainly you may interrupt any time. :)
The documentation erroneously states that the blog function works and it does NOT. I’ve been in nearly continuous communication with the help desk and there is only workarounds but the blog function in the side dashboard menu might as well say “free massages- press here” for all the good it does.
I ended up reinstalling the whole site WP and the AD theme… lots more work, but it got to the point of no return with all the fiddling around we all did and nothing worked.
Another nice feature you all need to add is some kind of gravatar fetching for the authors or a way to upload their own photo and a real author page with a bio and everything – the way it is is just name and email. Not really very nice at all for my authors.
Thanks for the input………. I’ll keep struggling with it, it’s definitely not a “right out of the box” intuitive theme and I’m not a total newbie with WP.
