Is there a way to add a video upload feature?

      Hi Tricia
No, I’m afraid there is no video upload in Tevolution. The only way to display a video is to provide a video embed field (textarea) and display the contents of that field in a post detail page.

When we can see integrated or (really) working with GeoPlaces?

Oh please :). No GP update is planned until you guys approve and are impressed with Tevolution. Once we get green signal from everyone, THEN we can think over migrating the existing ones.

We look forward to when Templatic themes can be updated easily, in the same way as WordPress can.

‘improvements’ will then be more benefit, as current themes will benefit from them.
    Along with any bug fixes.

We keep holding back on creating sites, either fearful of adopting a redundant Templatic theme or awaiting planned improvements (new framework).

If you are going with Nightlife theme, fear not. You can update theme/plugin whenever a new update is available – just like you update WordPress.

Great news on the auto update option within with Nightlife theme.
(We gladly saw that functionality appear before on a Templatic theme, encouraging our membership and hope it stays this time)

Now we do not know whether to push ahead with a few sites using other Templatic themes.
As whilst they are great and responsive, manually updating them to bugs and future improvements is a big problem.

Or wait until the events & the Geo themes also have auto update

Auto update removes so many future fears over longevity

          Hi Mark
Auto-update (of the plugin) will make things easier but it still won’t be care free, specially if your site is customized. The plugin can be customized using hooks but every update should be approached carefully.

Theme upgrades will come for sure, but fairly slowly. The first in line are those already announced; Automobile, Classifieds and Publisher. Events theme was upgraded a few months ago, you shouldn’t expect another anytime soon. GeoPlaces on the other hand is massive and will take A LOT of work to port over to Tevolution. It will be done though, sooner or later.

Customisations will always make the software hard to keep updated.

Patching of bugs is essential, in an easy ‘automated’ way.

Adapting software to incorporate the next version of improvements is important, if paying for membership results in new versions, rather than completely new specialised themes.

WordPress succeeds, as it doesn’t just focus on new improvements, it mixes that aim with offering a software that updates easily (pressing one button).

No good receiving all the ‘bells and whistles’, if you have to keep remaking sites to benefit from them.

That suits the new buyer rather than a loyal ‘subscribing’ member.
And delays your releases, as all bugs need removed before using the software.

We look forward to continued loyalty to Templatic, via improvements we can use, into the future.

Can you setup page for venues and see all events by venue or date?

      Hey Jeff
Not quite sure I understand. What type of information would these venues be in your case? A custom field? If yes – something like that would be possible only by searching. There is no way to categorize content based on just custom fields.

EventCalendarPro allows you to save venues and organizations and re-use them, and they allow you to view all events by venue. http://tri.be/wordpress-events-calendar-pro/

Your plugin looks awesome. They have some features you don’t, and you have some features they don’t. That’s one I need though, otherwise I’d be ready to buy.

Unfortunately something like that won’t be available with Nightlife. GeoPlaces however will most likely have this functionality once it’s updated to utilize Tevolution. GPv4 already comes with places (venus) and events, it’s just a matter of connecting them.

When will GeoPlaces 4 be updated to accept tevolution updates?

            Hi Aaron
I’m afraid it won’t happen soon, it’s at least a couple of months away.
