Assuming you’re using Tevolution alongside a Templatic theme (like Directory or Nightlife), you already have at least one custom post type available on your site (listing, event, etc). I recommend you don’t create new post types unless there is a clear need for them. If you can organize your content using categories, do that – it’s much easier.

If you have created a new custom post type at your Directory site and also added some categories to this newly added post type. If you are not able to see the Map Maker icon for this post type then please follow this mentioned steps to enable that Mapmaker option in custom post type categories.

• Please go to wp-admin >> Tevoltuion >> custom fields >> click on “Post type” tab >> Edit the newly added “Post type”
• Now please make sure that “Category map markers” option is enabled here.
• If this option is disabled it will not show you the Mapmaker icon option in your newly added custom post type category. So please enable this option and save the settings.
• Now go to wp-admin >> custom post type >> custom post type categoryies >> Edit any category >> at bottom it will show you one option “Map Marker”
• Here you need to provide an URL of your Mapmaker icon and save the settings

It will appear on the homepage Google map for listings placed in this category. It will show you that category map icon in custom post type categories.
