Using the plugin

How to create a new detail page tab?

  1. Navigate to Tevolution ⇨ Custom Fields and click on the “Add a custom field” button.
  2. Populate the field options as you normally would.
  3. Inside the “Show the field in” section (bottom of the page) uncheck the “Detail page” box. Do nothing if the box is already unchecked.
  4. Inside the same “Show the field in” section click on the “Detail page as tab” box.

How to show more than one custom field inside one tab?

    1. Go to your Tevolution >> Custom Fields >> Add new custom field with any name(as per your need) and keep its type as “Heading” and check the option as “Detail page as a tab” from the Display Options settings >> Show fields in.
    2. Now assign various sub custom fields under this particular heading type and do not check any option from the display option settings.

Organizing and ordering tabs

To change the order in which tabs appear inside the detail page go to Tevolution ⇨ Custom Fields. Use drag and drop to re-organize fields. Along with the tabs section, the order you set here will apply for the submission page and the regular custom fields area (below the listing description). Vertical drag and drop order inside the Custom Fields Setup section will affect the horizontal (left to right) order inside the tab area.

Quick note: The order of default tabs such as Overview, Map, Special Offers, Video, etc. cannot be changed with drag and drop. Dragging and dropping fields inside the Custom Fields Setup section only affects your new/custom tabs.

Which custom fields to use as tabs?

Even though any field can be used as a tab, because the tabbed area (when opened) is fairly large, not every field should. Field types that work best for the tab area are the ones who require listing authors to insert lots of content. These include:

  • Text Editor
  • Text Area
