Objective

If you have installed the Tevolution Events plugin on your site and you want event tickets to be sold on your site, this plugin makes it possible.

Advantages

  1. Sell your Event tickets online and earn money.
  2. Allow your users to submit ticket at your site and get commission on selling the tickets.

Installation

  1. Download the plugin from Templatic member area. You’ll find it inside the “My Plugins” sub-section.
  2. Navigate to WP-admin ⇨ Plugins ⇨ Add New ⇨ Use the “Browse” button to load the previously downloaded .zip file. Click on “Install Now” to confirm.
  3. Once the plugin is finished installing, click on the “Activate” button in Plugin section of your Admin Panel.

Compatibility

This Plugin “Tevolution Events Ticket” is very much compatible to be used with Directory Platform based Plugin i.e., “Tevolution – Events.

Note: Please make sure that you have installed and activated the “Tevolution-Events” Plugin at your site. Because “Tevolution-Events” plugin is a base plugin of “Tevolution-Events-Ticket” plugin. You will not able to use this plugin without its base plugin.

How to initialize

As soon as the plugin gets activated, Please go to “Tevolution -> Settings -> Ticket Settings.

Now, to sell your Event tickets online you need to enable the given option Want to sell ticket?

Once you enable the option it will expand more settings options like,

  • Price type
  • Charges per event/ticket
  • Paypal UserName
  • Paypal Password
  • Paypal Signature
  • Paypal AppId
  • Use in test mode?

1. Price type:There are two types of Price Type Per Event and Per Ticket

  • Per Event: If you select this Price type, one time Charges will be applied while submitting new Events. If this option is enabled here then the charges will be applied once when you submit the Event/ticket at your site. if we have set $100 in “Charges per event” field and author want to sell their ticket through your site then, Author needs to pay extra $100 for ticket selling.
  • Per Ticket : If you select this Price type, charges will be applied on bases of selling tickets as per Percentage(%). If this option is enabled here then the charges will be applied per ticket selling. if we have set 10% in “Charges per ticket” field then charges will be applied on the basis of 10%. Suppose the ticket price is $100, so when any ticket is sold out Admin will get $10 (10% of ticket price $100) and Author will get rest of the $90 amount.

2. Charges per event/ticket: You can provide the charges here. Either provide the amount per event (eg.100) or provide the price per ticket in Percentage (eg. 15)

3. Paypal UserName: Please provide the PayPal Username of admin.

4. Paypal Password: Please provide the PayPal Password of admin.

5. Paypal Signature: Please provide the PayPal Signature of admin’s account. To get your PayPal Signature, please refer to this blog link Click Here.

Once you login to your Paypal Account click on this mentioned link and follow the steps which are given in the above blog link.

6. Paypal AppId: Please provide the PayPal AppId of admin’s account. To get your PayPal AppID, please refer to this blog link Click Here

7. Use in test mode?: If you want to test it in test mode you need to enable this option from here. Once you enable this option you will able to check it in test mode through the Sandbox account.

It is very much required to get the above PayPal details which are considered mandatory requirements.

How to Submit Event/Ticket?

To submit an Event/ticket please go to wp-admin >> Events >> Add New Events >> To submit an Event please refer to this mentioned guide link How to submit Event. If you want to sell ticket you will see new field “Want to sell a ticket?” custom field here.

Note: If you are not able to see this custom field make sure that this two options are enable at your site.

  • Go to wp-admin >> Tevolution >> Settings >> Ticket settings >> Make sure that this “Want to sell ticket?” field is enabled.
  • Go to wp-admin >> Tevolution >> Custom fields >> Events >> Edit “Want to sell ticket?” >> Make sure that the custom field is enable for Event post type and “Submission form” option is enabled in “Show in field section”

Once you enabled the option it will expand the option on your screen which includes the below fields. Fill up this given information and Events information and “Publish/Update” the event.

  • Number of tickets: Please enter number of tickets.
  • Enter ticket price: Please provide the ticket price.
  • Paypal Address: Please provide Authors or Event Organizer’s Email address which is registered with Paypal Account.
  • Show Transaction (Show this option when you submit ticket through admin panel): It will show you the transaction information, if someone purchase the tickets through your site, which includes Ticket Purchased Information ( Total Sells: ,Total Tickets: , Total Amount : )If user have purchased some ticket through the site, then it will show you the transaction log here, which contains this information, (First Name, Last Name, Email, Ticket Purchased Amount, View details)

How it Works?

Once the Event ticket is submitted successfully at your site, please visit the Events detail page. Here you will able to see one new button “Buy Ticket”. When you click on that it will open one popup box at your site, which contains Personal Information fields as shown below.

  • First Name: Please enter First Name. (Visitor’s Name)
  • Last Name: Please enter Last Name. (Visitor’s Name)
  • Email Address: Please Enter Visitors Email address, So you will get the confirmation mail.
  • Number of Tickets: Please enter the number of tickets here.

Once you fill up this information click on “Buy Ticket” and it will redirects you to PayPal payment page to purchase the ticket

Once the ticket is purchased successfully, a confirmation mail will be fired to visitor’s Provided mail address. It will also fire a mail to site admin and the Event Organizer who submitted the ticket. On the success page user will able to see the print button, through this button user can print his booked ticket. A user will also receive the ticket in .PDF file format through mail.

Event Organizer (who submit the ticket) will able to see the ticket Information through his author profile page. Go to author page >> Events >> You can see the Ticket button in related Event. Click on that “Ticket” button it will open one popup box which contains the Ticket Information like,

  • Full Name: Name of the User who purchased the ticket.
  • Email: Email Address of the user who purchased the ticket.
  • Ticket Purchased: Number of ticket purchased by user.
  • Amount Paid: the Total amount paid by the user to purchase the ticket.
  • Status: Ticket status, whether it is “Approved” or “Canceled”. If you want to cancel the Approved ticket just click on Approved link to cancel it and if you want to Approved the canceled ticket do click on the Cancelled link.
  • View: When you click on view button, it will show you the detail Information regarding the ticket.

Note: If you want to change the layout and contect design if the Ticket voucher then you can modified that content through this mentioned file location.

Mailing Process while purchasing the ticket

  • Once user purchases the ticket he will receive the mail from the Event Organizer with attached ticket in (.PDF) file.
  • Site admin and Event organizer both will receive the mail from the user’s Email address, when user purchase the ticket through the site.
  • When ticket is cancelled or Approved by the Event organizer, user will received the mail to his provided email address while purchasing the ticket.

Ticket Transaction Report

It will show you all the transaction log of purchased ticket through the website. through this section Admin have the option to see the transaction logs of tickets. Admin can search the ticket by Event ID, Full Name and Email address.

How to get Event ID?

Please go to wp-admin >> Events >> hover on “Edit Event” link. You will able to see the Event ID at bottom Left Corner of the screen.

Admin can also generate a CSV file of this Transaction log by clicking on “Export to CSV” button.

Admin can generate the report on bases of search results. Either admin can generate full transaction report or he can do search operation which is given there and generate the report accordingly.
